PET-ONLY, SPAY/NEUTER, and REGISTRATION
All puppies are sold as pets only and not for breeding. The buyer agrees to consider to spay or neuter this puppy once it reaches an appropriate age (typically 6-18 months). The registration papers will be kept by the Seller or marked “Limited” until proof of spay or neuter is provided.
HEALTH GUARANTEE and LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
➥ All puppies will have a full health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to leaving the Seller’s possession.
➥ Should this puppy be found to have a life-threatening congenital defect within 3 years from the date of birth, the Buyer may be eligible for a refund, upon:
– A written and conclusive diagnosis from two separate licensed veterinarians, identifying the defect in question and describing the puppy in detail.
* A speculative or inconclusive diagnosis will not warrant a refund. *
➥ The Seller is not liable for disqualifying faults, viruses, disorders, or diseases due to the Buyer’s negligence.
➥ The following conditions are common ailments and not covered under this health guarantee: Hookworms, Demodex, Hernia, Hips, Patella, Small Nares, Elongated Soft Palate, Hemivertebrae, and Cherry Eye.
➥ Hip Dysplasia: If severe hip abnormalities are confirmed by radiograph and graded severe by a radiologist, consideration for a partial or full refund will be made. Mild cases are not covered due to the difficulty in distinguishing environmental from hereditary components.
➥ Spinal abnormalities: Most French Bulldogs have at least one hemi vertebra; this is not a cause for alarm in and of itself. Nonetheless, if spinal abnormalities are severe and affect the puppy’s quality of life, this will be addressed on a case-by-case basis, considering veterinary opinion and necessity for intervention. To avoid complications, please do not allow your puppy to jump from high furniture or perform strenuous activity on developing joints and vertebrae.
➥ The Buyer understands and agrees that the Seller is not responsible for any veterinary expenses once the puppy leaves the possession of the Seller.
➥ The following conditions — Coccidiosis, Giardia, and Kennel Cough — are common ailments in puppies and are not covered under this health guarantee. All are easily treated and non-life threatening.
➥ The Seller strongly recommends avoiding dog parks and boarding facilities during the first few months of the puppy’s life to avoid contagious viruses and parasites.
➥ The Buyer understands that all information provided to the Seller for a health guarantee claim will be verified. The Seller may contact the Buyer’s veterinarian directly to discuss their findings.
➥ The Buyer agrees to authorize release of the puppy’s medical records to the Seller and/or the Seller’s veterinarian upon request.
